  • In what situations might you feel the need to give correction to someone?
  • 2.Read Proverbs 9:7-9

  • To whom should we attempt to give counsel or correction?
  • Describe the different responses to counsel based on the inner attitudes.
  • 3.What do the following verses teach about working out differences with others?

  • Matthew 5:22-24
  • Why do you think Christians have difficulty obeying these commands?
  • 4.Read these passages and answer the following questions: Who was being rebuked and by whom? Why were they rebuked? How were the messages delivered? What were the results?

  • Give a principle that you learned from one of these accounts.
  • 5.What should be our attitude when we need to confront someone about a sin? Read Matthew 7:1-5, Galatians 6:1-2, and II Timothy 2:24-26 to help you with your answer.

    6.From what you learned in questions 1-5, write a "check-list" of steps to take when you are considering the need to confront someone. Back each step that you write with a Scripture verse.
